50% Silver Coins, worth buying cheap??
Would you guys advise against buying a dozen of these for dirt cheap? They are uncirculated one dollar commemorative coins containing a half ounce of silver each.

Nine of them for forty bucks. I realize we are only talkin 4.5 ozs of silver but the numismatic value must be more, no?

So that's something like $8.88 per ounce.

No.....unless you find the 'greater fool', as is the case with all numismatics.....and the more odd and obscure the commemorative, the smaller the market of fools. They are 'uncirculated' because they've never been monetary coins....doesn't mean anything. POS @ 14 x 4.5 oz = 63 bucks ( all in US FRN figures ) doesn't look like a bad deal to me |

If they are clearly marked as to silver content, purity or both then go for it.

Also try to make sure it comes with a COA (Certificate of Authenticity)
The COA will usually say what the coin is made of and how much it weighs, etc. Good Luck |

I would not, there hard to re-sell
better of buying roll of circulated franklin halfs for spot, or anything but that junk. |
